Welcome to the Senior Class Council website!

Bear Heart The Senior Class Council was established in 1870 to promote class spirit, unity, and leadership. The Council, which is derived from The Californians, organizes Senior Week and May Commencement, designs and sells the official class sweatshirts, and creates the traditional class banner. The Council serves as an organization that provides seniors with the opportunity to work with others who share a common interest in serving the University and being ambassadors for their class. Because the Council is not major or career-focused, it provides a diverse group of students a forum to foster this common interest. It also gives students an opportunity to gain leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills while implementing university-wide events that serve approximately 3000 seniors each year.

This website provides you with announcements for the Senior Class of 2008, history of the Senior Class Council, Senior Week 2008 information, May Commencement Convocation updates, an archive of past "Senior News & Clues" newsletters, contact information, and a link for you to purchase your official class sweatshirts and Senior Week tickets.

Along with this website, the Senior Class Council delivers its senior news via monthly emails ("Senior News & Clues") and the "UC Berkeley Class of 2008" Facebook group. These three channels are the best ways for you to receive information on senior events and news. Feel free to email seniorcouncil08@gmail.com for any inquiries and/or comments.
